Will my medical records and information be confidential ? Yes, the information and medical records you submit to MedicalOpinionDirect.com are confidential, it will not be shared with any, except the authorize Doctor which you select for Second Medical Opinion How will I communicate to the doctor and what about my paper reports ? Once you select the Doctor you want to get opinion from you will be asked about your present medical diagnostics, your current medical symptoms, and the question you have for the doctor.If you have paper reports you can scan and upload the file online, we have a section where you can upload this digital files. What time it takes to get Second Medical Opinion ? It depends on Doctor to Doctor, you will find mentioned in the bottom of the Doctors profile, if he is on vacation he will display the notice on non-availability. What fees does the Doctor charge ? Every doctor has his own fees structure, on the bottom of the doctors profile you will find, what it will cost you to get his opinion. After getting my medical opinion report, can I talk to the Doctor ? Yes, you can send him internal e-mail from our e-mail section after you login. What language do my documents have to be in? In Doctors profile he will mention which languages you can communicate, thus all medical report should also be in the given languages. Can I pay Online and in what currency ? Yes, at the end of the case upload you will see pay now button, which will take you to PayPal and you can pay using Visa, Master Card, Amex, Discover card. All in US$ fund. I understand doctors like to see the patient, how do you over come that ? Yes I agree, seeing the patient allows doctor to have a better feel of the medical condition, to over come that we have option where patient can upload his picture or video, this will be seen by doctor at other end before giving any opinion. Are the listed doctors available 365 days ? If the doctor goes on vacation he will change the status in his profile from "Available" to "On Vacation" in such case you cannot get his opinion, the system will not allow you to proceed further. |
